Phase Contrast Microscopy
The phase contrast microscope has optical modifications from a normal light microscope to enhance the contrast observed in samples with refractive indicies close to that of the mounting medium. The phase contrast microscope is commonly used by biologists, and we commonly turn to this instrument when examining plant and animal tissues, but can also be of use when attempting to improve contrast in any number of materials.
Microtrace utilizes several phase contrast microscopes equipped with cameras to provide sample documentation.
