Industrial Materials Reference Collection

Microtrace’s scientists have been solving industrial problems for over four decades.  Over the course of this time, we have had the need to assemble collections of wide varieties of materials, which include: combustion products, carbon blacks, clays, fillers, extenders, metals, flavoring compounds, colorants, chemicals, and other raw ingredients or manufactured items.  These materials, which represent tens of thousands of samples, have been utilized for both internal training and in casework.  Coupled with our other methods, they have been used in research to improve our overall understanding of materials, which helps us to more efficiently, and more accurately, address unusual issues that exceed the capabilities of other, more traditional laboratories.
